Thanksgiving

I've said it a million time, but I have to say it again.  I love my family!  The greatest blessing God has every given me is them.  When we are all together my heart feels more content than any other time.  For Thanksgiving they all (with the exception of a few who were missed) caravanned to El Paso and between my mom, sister and I we managed to find everyone a place to sleep.    The girls were in heaven and so was I!  Shelby told me a couple days later that she loved having so many mommies around.  I couldn't agree more.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



 

 

 

 



Florida

Bret had a business conference in Orlando so I did what all responsible parents do, pulled our kids out of school and went with him!  We had a crazy two days at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, a day of fun in downtown Disney and a lovely time swimming and playing at our amazing hotel.  We even got to take a safari drive and the girls loved seeing so many animals out in the open.  Daddy was a little nervous.  Then it was back to the real world and three days of school make-up work.  YUCK!  We had a great time, although I think the girls and I had a bit more fun than daddy did.  Next time we do anything that requires waiting in line for an hour to meet "Rapunzel," I think we need to take along another man to keep him company.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 



 



 

 

 

Happy Halloween

The girls collectively decided that they wanted to be literary characters for Halloween this year.  I loved the idea!  It all came together pretty easily as Abby's favorite books are Nancy Drew mysteries (she is currently reading all my old N.D. books), and Shelby has been in love with Fancy Nancy since she was old enough to talk.  Macey took a little longer to decide but finally settled on Pippi Longstocking which was so much fun to do!  She is typically drawn to those spunky, silly characters.  I think she can relate to them well.
